So every year the amazing Carlos puts on an incredible evening of tapas at his restaurant Cantinho Algarvio!
And this one didn’t disappoint! We arrived to a table of nibbles, from olives and carrots to sardine pate and cheese to meats and prawns.
Following this were several yummy courses, starting with Caldo Verde, a very traditional Portuguese broth…
Then came bruschetta with peppers and anchovies.
Next up was chicken kebabs, cooked to perfection and filled with flavour!
Then came stuffed mushrooms and cod parcels. I think this was my favourite course of the evening.
Then came turkey liver served with migas, something I had never tasted before but absolutely beautiful.
Last up was pork cheeks, simply divine and packed with flavour and melted in your mouth.
Of course the dinner was finished with a light dessert, unfortunately I didn’t manage to get a picture!
All in all another wonderful night filled with amazing food, stunning wines and beautifully hosted by Carlos and his team. Definitely a restaurant to visit if you haven’t already! Be sure to book though to avoid disappointment.
